For Others

Those humans who walk the liminal – 'neither' or 'both' – path are exactly this: those who cannot be labeled or easily reduced to an either/or category. Our intelligence has been significantly stunted here as we have been taught to categorize everything as 'this' or 'that'. Yet the existence of those who do not fall into neat categories is an intelligent and essential aspect of a vibrant, generative and benevolent human culture. Those who, by virtue of their lived experience, can see from the perspective of the both and the neither, are an essential component of a human culture that is well with itself and all Life around it.
