The Verdant Collective

Rewilding Our Erotic Nature • Reclaiming Our Elemental Power

A Four-Month Immersion Experience Into New World Women’s Culture

(Enrollment closes Sunday October 20, 2019)

Across the world, throughout nearly all human culture, females have been, and still are, the singular focus of the largest organized campaign of oppression and domestication in the history of our species. This oppression – and the commodification of our wise, wild, generative female capacity – extends to all life, including the Earth upon which we rely for our survival. As much as we might like to believe we are making headway, it is likely that a revolution of a kind never before seen will be what turns the tide in our human culture. The Verdant Collective is one place where the brilliant and beautiful revolutionaries awaken, stretch their limbs and learn to roar.

“There was a time when you were not a slave, remember that. You walked alone, full of laughter, you bathed bare-bellied. You say you have lost all recollection of it, remember . . . You say there are no words to describe this time, you say it does not exist. But remember. Make an effort to remember. Or, failing that, invent.”
Monique Wittig, Les Guérillères

The Verdant Collective is a radical – and radically safe – place to remember (and failing that, to invent) what your free, embodied, deeply nourished, and sovereign female looks, sounds and feels like. It is a place to grieve and to celebrate, to replenish and to grow.

We are a group of women who refuses to accept the definitions and expectations our culture has placed on us – for how our sex, our authentic emotional expression and our wildness should look, sound and feel. At this particularly dark human time we believe our wild nature is a radical force for healing. Thus we prioritize its wellness in ourselves and our sisters.

Verdant Collective is For YOU if:

  • You are a therapist, guide, teacher, or you are in the role of guiding or mentoring women and healing women’s culture, and you are seeking an essential missing piece of your own knowing and voice.

  • You are hungry to heal your relationship with women and the feminine. You are ready to feel cared for, safe (enough) with, and witnessed by other women, while receiving and offering compassionate and fierce reflection.

  • You are ready to acknowledge that intelligent women’s community requires that we take responsibility for our own experience, and that we respect each other, even in those moments we don’t necessarily like each other.

  • You have done the necessary work to know your shadow, your wounding, and your trauma, and you have a resilient foundational sovereignty and self regard/love. You are familiar with the places where you are most vulnerable and you can communicate and take responsibility for your needs.

  • You feel there is exploration and fortification to be made when it comes to your sexual health and erotic intelligence, which you imagine might hold the key to a more holistic experience of well-being, power and presence in the world.

  • You have already explored the nature of your erotic self, and are comfortable talking about your sex, your body, and your pleasure. You have a sexual practice of some kind, meaning you are currently working with and tending to your arousal and eros in some way(s) and hunger to further explore the depth and breadth of your erotic sovereignty in the shame-free landscape of sisterhood.

If you’re not sure:

What you can expect in The Verdant Collective:

The Verdant Collective is a 4-month immersion experience into new-world women’s culture. We gather together, in person, once per month, and stay in intimate contact with each other throughout the four months, from wherever we call home (dates and details below).

We practice the erotic arts, including hands-on genital touch, communal self-pleasuring, and tending to one another’s arousal, pleasure, and orgasm.

You’ll receive plenty of support and care from our staff and apprentices, with an abundant staff to participant ratio of 1:3.

You’ll have the opportunity to deepen during the weekend immersions and in-between them, with one other participant who will be your ‘verdant partner’.

You’ll participate in monthly 2-Hour Community Calls that build on the concepts, skills, and wellness we are weaving together.

You will be assigned to a pod – a smaller group of 3-4 participants guided by one of the core Verdant faculty. In this pod you will deepen some of the relationships you'll form over the four months and beyond, and you’ll get together as a group via ZOOM in between the weekend immersions.

The Verdant Collective Will Offer You:

  • From-the-ground-up practical and magickal facts about female anatomy and arousal; the information we never got and the truth about the erroneous and damaging information we did get

  • The crucial connections between arousal, pleasure, anatomy, attachment, trauma, neurobiology, and the practices to weave them together and utilize them for your wellness

  • The opportunity to expand your erotic map, finding new ways to experience pleasure

  • Practices that allow us to reverently harness and extend our arousal to access realms of wisdom and wellness, nourishing our deep connection with the wild world of Mystery and Spirit

  • Reflection and feedback within the traditional council format that will allow you to further develop and understand your mythopoetic soul story

  • The opportunity to learn how to use your arousal and the neurobiology of your pleasure to attend to the deepest layers of your trauma

  • An experiential deep dive into the function, elements and practice of both ritual and ceremony

  • The opportunity to find the wise, humorous, irreverent and reverent one of you as we sit in several different council-style circles over the course of our intimate four month journey

  • The chance to unravel one of the most erroneous and harmful messages (most of us) received about how our sexuality and erotic intelligence are things that should be private, sequestered, shared with only one other person; that they look a certain way (that coincidentally happens to be domesticated and mono-cropped; a thing that is anything but threatening). Here women, we are not advocates of ‘free love’ or public orgies or anything of the sort. We are advocates of fundamental liberation that allows us to know exactly who we are, why we are here and to whom we answer

  • The opportunity to form relationships with women that are predicated on truth, respect, compassion and ferocious advocacy

We encourage you to apply as soon as you have interest. There is an application process that includes (at least) one interview with the Verdant Collective Faculty and this process can take a few weeks. We will start the interview process the third week of August. Please read the ‘Application Process’ section below for more details. Enrollment closes Sunday October 20, 2019
